Tours in May and June

Hi friends and comrades,

get out into the sunshine over the next few months and join us on one of our upcoming tours!

We are really glad to be celebrating Kinning Park Complex in June, with two special tours ending at KPC for tea and coffee, a look round the building and exhibitions, and a chance to find out more about the events happening to commemorate 30 years since the building was successfully occupied by the local community to prevent its closure.

We also have some new FREE tours running May-August for the duration of the 2026 Commonwealth Games Festival. Join us to walk though Glasgow Green and take a critical look at the city’s relationship to the Commonwealth and its history as a hotbed of radical sporting traditions.

Probably the only tour in the world on which you will hear the stories of anticolonial boxers, champion cyclists, anarchist agitators, Glasgow’s history as Second City of Empire, swimming in the Clyde, community football and much more.

The tour also includes a visit to one of Glasgow’s weirdest bits of public art (there are some strong contenders), a bizarre modern megalith taking the form of a spiral through time…

All Glasgow, sport and the Commonwealth tours will be BSL interpreted.
