(Anti)Colonial Glasgow

Join us to walk through some of the histories of colonialism and anticolonialism in Glasgow, a city made opulent through exploitation. Learn about contested sites of colonial wealth and anti-imperialist struggle, revolutionary pamphlets, rousing speeches and brutal oppression.

The Glasgow You’ve Never Seen

Think you know Glasgow? Join us for a whole new perspective on the people, cultures and histories of the city.

This walking tour has been researched and designed by refugee historians from Migrant Voice, who will lead you on a walk round the Glasgow you’ve never seen. The tour will explore histories of refugee lives, arts and cultures in Glasgow through the buildings and landmarks of the city centre.

This tour has been developed by Radical Glasgow Tours anmd Migrant Voice in partnership with the Scottish Refugee Council, grant-aided by Glasgow City Heritage Trust. Part of Refugee Festival Scotland.

Tastes of Govanhill

Join us on a sound walk around Govanhill, exploring refugee histories through the rich food cultures which surround us in the streets.

Developed in collaboration with the women of MILK, this walk takes you through space and time, exploring histories of migration and the power of food to connect us with the past, and with different cultures and traditions.

Audio recordings showcasing different voices will be shared at key stops on the walk, mixing with live guides and the background sounds of the neighbourhood.

This tour has been developed by Radical Glasgow Tours and MILK in partnership with the Scottish Refugee Council, grant-aided by Glasgow City Heritage Trust. Part of Refugee Festival Scotland.
